The Nickel City Top is an aluminum spinning top named after the city in which it's made, Buffalo New York (a.k.a Nickel City). This top spins longer than most. My personal best is a spin time of 4 minutes, 29 seconds. Average spin times are between 2 and 3 minutes. It spins best on a glass surface, but will also spin on a wide variety of materials. Each Nickel City aluminum top comes with a display base that matches the color of the top. Available Colors include: Silver, Black, Red, Green, and Purple. The colored tops and not painted, but rather annodized. Annodized means that they are put through an electrically charged bath that changes their surface. Special dyes are then applied that lock to the oxide surface. The aluminum oxide coating is much more durable than any paint, meaning this top will stay in good condition even with years of play.
